Built on Trust and Respect

About Us

OUR MISSION IS TO LEAVE YOU WITH QUALITY AND VALUE, ON TIME AND WITHIN BUDGET

At Method Home Renovations, our project management philosophy is built upon a foundation of meticulous organization and rigorous schedule adherence. We understand that successful project delivery in construction hinges on proactive planning, clear communication, and precise execution, ensuring that every project, regardless of size or complexity, is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Here's how it started!

Method Home Renovations began when a highly skilled carpenter collided with an engineer. Problem solving and attention to detail are the things we are proud of every day.

And that's exactly what Method Home Renovations is all about.

Our team is here to help you through the process of dreaming, designing, budgeting, timing and installing your project. Integrity and respect are part of our company culture. You can count on Method Home Renovations to get the job done as promised.

Our Method in Three Phases

  • 1. Pre-Construction Planning: The Method for Success

Our commitment to organization begins long before the physical project begins. The pre-construction phase is a critical period of intense planning and collaboration, designed to eliminate uncertainties and establish a robust project roadmap.

We will help you choose each and every detail of your project, record the decisions and produce a comprehensive set of installation documents that detail out every aspect of the project.  This will include plumbing, electrical, tile, framing, cabinetry and trim diagrams as needed.  We then produce our schedule which will incorporate your requests for daily start and finish times, holidays and any other specific requests for “non- working” days.  We often utilize Gantt charts and critical path method (CPM) analysis to visualize and optimize these schedules.

    •   Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactive risk management is integral to our planning. We identify potential risks (e.g., material delays, weather impacts, subcontractor schedules, potential design changes) and develop comprehensive strategies during the pre-construction phase. This foresight minimizes disruptions and helps maintain schedule integrity.

    •  Procurement Planning: Long-lead items are identified early, and procurement strategies are developed to ensure timely delivery of all materials and equipment. This proactive approach prevents bottlenecks and keeps the project on track.

    •  Detailed Project Scoping & Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): We initiate each project with a comprehensive scoping exercise to define all deliverables and requirements. This is immediately followed by the creation of a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). The WBS systematically deconstructs the project into manageable, discrete tasks, allowing for clear assignment of responsibilities, accurate resource allocation, and precise scheduling.

    •  Comprehensive Estimating & Budgeting: Our experienced estimators leverage historical data and current market conditions to develop accurate and transparent budgets. This process integrates seamlessly with the WBS, ensuring that every task has an allocated cost, promoting financial control and minimizing unexpected expenditures.

    • Integrated Scheduling (Master & Detailed): Scheduling is paramount to our success. We develop a Master Project Schedule that outlines key milestones, critical path activities, and overall project duration. This master schedule is then broken down into Detailed Activity Schedules for each phase and trade. These detailed schedules incorporate dependencies, lead times, and resource availability, providing a granular view of daily and weekly activities. We often utilize Gantt charts and critical path method (CPM) analysis to visualize and optimize these schedules.

    • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactive risk management is integral to our planning. We identify potential risks (e.g., material delays, weather impacts, labor shortages, design changes) and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies during the pre-construction phase.

  • 2. Project Execution: Disciplined Oversight and Real-Time Management

During the execution phase, our focus shifts to disciplined oversight and agile, real-time management to ensure the project adheres to the meticulously crafted plan.

    • Dedicated Project Teams: Each project is assigned a dedicated project manager, superintendent, and supporting staff. This team serves as the central hub for all project communications and decision-making, ensuring consistent direction and accountability.

    • Regular Progress Tracking & Reporting: We employ robust systems for daily and weekly progress tracking against the detailed schedules. This includes daily site logs, daily reports, and photographic documentation. Regular progress meetings (daily huddles, weekly site meetings) with all stakeholders, including subcontractors and clients, are held to review progress, address issues, and plan upcoming activities.

    • Strict Schedule Adherence & Proactive Adjustments: Our superintendents are empowered to manage daily operations with a keen eye on the schedule. Any deviations are immediately identified, and root causes are investigated. We implement proactive measures and, when necessary, develop look-ahead schedules to re-sequence activities or reallocate resources to get back on track. Change orders are documented and their impact on the schedule is immediately assessed and integrated.

    • Quality Control & Assurance: Integrated within our schedule is a comprehensive quality control program. Regular inspections and adherence to specifications are non-negotiable. This prevents rework, which can be a significant cause of schedule delays and cost overruns.

    • Effective Communication Protocols: Clear and consistent communication is the lifeblood of our projects. We utilize cloud-based project management software and daily progress reports to ensure all team members, subcontractors, and the client are continuously informed of project status, critical decisions, and potential challenges.

  • 3. Project Close-Out: Ensuring a Smooth Transition

Our commitment to organization extends to the project close-out phase, ensuring a seamless transition and successful completion.

    • Punch List Management & Completion: A systematic approach is taken to compile and complete punch lists, ensuring all outstanding items are addressed efficiently and without delay.

    • Final Inspections & Commissioning: We coordinate all final inspections and commissioning processes, ensuring all systems are fully functional and meet performance requirements.

    • Documentation & Handover: Comprehensive project documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation and maintenance manuals, is meticulously compiled and handed over to the client in an organized and timely manner.

By embedding organization and schedule management into every facet of our operations,Method Home Renovations consistently delivers projects that meet or exceed client expectations, on time and within budget. Our proactive approach minimizes risk, maximizes efficiency, and fosters strong, collaborative relationships with our clients and partners.

Our Team Members.

get up early because they like to, not because they have to.

like to get things right the first time.

had a job before their friends did as a kid.

like to make lists because no one can remember everything.

often find themselves learning something new on their own time.
